Middle East Airlines (MEA), Lebanon’s national carrier, announced Saturday the cancellation of all flights to and from Iraq over the weekend, due to the continued closure of Iraqi airspace.

The affected routes include flights between Beirut and the airports of Baghdad and Erbil: ME321, ME322, ME323, ME324, and ME325.

Several countries in the region have temporarily closed their airspace following the unprecedented escalation between Iran and Israel, triggered by an Israeli strike late Thursday night.
