Since the early hours of Friday, the Israeli army has carried out heavy bombardments on several major Iranian cities, claiming the country has reached the "point of no return" in its pursuit of nuclear weapons.

These large-scale strikes — first overnight, then again on Friday afternoon — resulted in the deaths of numerous high-ranking members of the Revolutionary Guards and the army, as well as scientists involved in Iran’s nuclear program.

“They’re all dead,” declared U.S. President Donald Trump following the attacks. Iran confirmed the deaths of the IRGC commander, the army’s chief of staff, and the head of its aerospace force, Amir Ali Hajizadeh, who was reportedly killed along with “most of the leadership” of this force while they were gathered in an underground command center, according to Tehran.

Who were the key figures killed in these strikes, and which cities and strategic sites were targeted? L’Orient Today breaks it down in this visual report.
