BEIRUT — The Revolutionary Guards, Iran's ideological army, confirmed the death of the commander of their aerospace force, announced earlier by Israel, during the massive Israeli attack launched Friday on Iranian territory.

"The commander of the Revolutionary Guards' Aerospace Force, Major General Amirali Hajizadeh [...] as well as a group of courageous and dedicated fighters from this unit, became martyrs," in an Israeli attack on a command center, the Guards said in a statement. The Israeli Ministry of Defense had announced his death and that of "most of the leaders" of this force "while they were gathered in their underground headquarters."
