BEIRUT — The Israeli Ministry of Defense claimed Friday that the army's airstrikes on Iran have claimed the lives of most of the leaders of the Guardians of the Revolution's aerospace force, the ideological army of the Islamic Republic.
"Defense Minister [Israel Katz] was informed that most of the leaders of the Guardians of the Revolution's aerospace force have been eliminated while they were gathered in their underground headquarters," including its chief General Amirali Hadjizadeh, the ministry said in a statement. This force is responsible for monitoring Iranian airspace and controls the country's ballistic missile arsenal.
