BEIRUT — The Israeli Foreign Minister accused Hamas on Thursday of "exploiting the suffering in Gaza" after the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), supported by Israel and the United States, claimed that the Palestinian movement had killed at least five of its humanitarian workers.
"After threats, lies, and disruptions [of aid distributions], they resorted to cold-blooded murder," Gideon Saar stated on his X account. "Hamas exploits the suffering in Gaza: it deprives the population of food, targets those who help save lives, and abandons its own people," he added.
The GHF stated that five of its employees were killed Wednesday evening during a Hamas attack on a bus that was transporting them to a distribution center located west of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip, reports Haaretz, which indicates that other workers may have been kidnapped.
Palestinians are killed daily by the Israeli army since the establishment of this aid distribution system monopolized by the GHF. At least 13 people were killed Thursday morning during a distribution in the center of the enclave.
