Mr. President,First, allow me to introduce myself — or rather, to explain where I stand: I am a Lebanese woman, the daughter of a military man — well-acquainted, therefore, with the values of that institution: patriotism, honor and sacrifice. I am one of those who cried tears of joy when you took the oath of office on Jan. 9, 2025. That day, I wholeheartedly believed that under your leadership, Lebanon would finally turn the page on a long and dark chapter of its history.
