BEIRUT — Israeli strikes on Beirut's southern suburbs on Thursday razed nine buildings and damaged 71 others, 50 cars and 177 institutions, according to an initial assessment of the damages released by the Beirut District Reconstruction Committee, affiliated with Hezbollah.

The Israeli strikes had targeted the neighborhoods of Burj al-Barajneh, Haret Hreik and Hadath — all targeted heavily during the latest war.

Lebanon’s Health Ministry has not released an official casualty toll. But, Health Minister Rakan Nassereddine reported injured individuals who required hospitalization, without specifying how many.
