The Israeli army on Saturday issued an evacuation call for residents of several neighborhoods in the northern Gaza Strip, ahead of an attack in the Palestinian territory where Israel has been at war with the Islamist movement Hamas for 20 months.
Israeli forces will “strike every area used to launch rockets” toward Israel, wrote army spokesperson Avichay Adraee in Arabic on his X account: “For your safety, evacuate immediately to the south.” These warnings concern a neighborhood in the northwest of Gaza City and another in Jabalia, according to the spokesperson.
