Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced Saturday that the body of a Thai hostage kidnapped Oct. 7, 2023, during an attack by the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas in Israel and taken to the Gaza Strip, has been returned to the country.
“In a special operation by the Israel Defense Forces and the Shin Bet security service in the Rafah area, the body of Natpong Pinta, who was abducted from Kibbutz Nir Oz on Oct. 7, has been brought back to Israel,” Katz said in a statement.
