Two years after beginning the process — and just over two months after officially announcing the route — Wizz Air Abu Dhabi marked its inaugural flight to Lebanon on Wednesday with a near-capacity Airbus landing at Beirut's international airport shortly before noon. The flight, connecting the Emirati and Lebanese capitals, transports nearly 250 passengers.“The launch of direct flights between Abu Dhabi and Beirut by Wizz Air Abu Dhabi is a key step to revitalize Lebanon’s tourism sector,” said Tourism Minister Laura al-Khazen Lahoud during a press conference held at the airport.
