Egypt and Qatar continue efforts to broker Gaza cease-fire, joint statement says

Egypt and Qatar declared on Sunday that they are continuing their efforts to align views and overcome disagreements in order to achieve a cease-fire in Gaza, based on a proposal by U.S. President Donald Trump's envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff.

In a joint statement released by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, both countries called on all parties to support the mediators’ efforts to end the war.
