An Israeli official stated that Israel “will not cooperate” with a visit to the occupied West Bank by Arab foreign ministers, following a Saudi diplomatic source’s indication that the kingdom’s foreign minister would travel to Ramallah on Sunday.
“The Palestinian Authority, which to this day refuses to condemn the Oct. 7 massacre, planned to host in Ramallah a provocative meeting of Arab foreign ministers to discuss advancing the establishment of a Palestinian state,” the Israeli official said in a statement released Friday evening.
“Israel will not cooperate with such initiatives aimed at harming it and undermining its security,” he added, while access to the West Bank remains under Israeli military control.
