Israeli fighter jets fly over southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley

Israeli fighter jets flew Sunday afternoon over the eastern sector of southern Lebanon, the city of Saida and its surroundings, as well as the western Bekaa region at low altitude, according to our correspondents in these areas. Around noon, an Israeli drone dropped a bomb on a neighborhood in Kfar Kila, in the Marjayoun district, while the Israeli army fired machine guns in the locality without causing any casualties, our correspondent in southern Lebanon, Muntasser Abdallah, reported.

Earlier in the day, an explosion heard in Zrarieh was caused by the detonation of an unexploded device from the 13-month conflict between Hezbollah and Israel. It was triggered by a fire in the area. 

An Israeli drone dropped a sound bomb Sunday afternoon on the town of Ramieh (Bint Jbeil district), causing no injuries, according to our correspondent.

Later in the afternoon, an Israeli drone dropped a sound bomb targeting a civilian working outside his home in Kfar Kila, without causing any injuries.

On Saturday, while municipal elections were taking place in southern Lebanon, Israel did not carry out any strikes or attacks, allowing the vote to proceed normally. However, the Israeli army had escalated tensions the day before the elections.
