Young men vandalized the house of Change MP Yassine Yassine on Thursday in Ghazzeh, western Bekaa, following the results of municipal elections, reports L'Orient Today's correspondent in the region.
The assailants arrived at the scene in more than 15 cars and forced their way into the premises while the Yassine was not home.
Yassine had adopted a neutral stance regarding the two opposing camps in the Ghazzeh elections, which took place in the Bekaa and in Beirut on May 18.
According to our correspondent, Yassine filed a complaint against the aggressors, accusing them of assault and death threats.
The municipal elections, which were organized after three years of repeated postponements, have already taken place in Mount Lebanon, North Lebanon, Beirut and the Bekaa. Voting is scheduled for Saturday in the South.
