Nine individuals were injured on Tuesday in an Israeli drone strike targeting a motorcycle in Mansouri (Sour district), according to L'Orient Today's regional correspondent.

The Health Ministry stated on Tuesday that the "strike by an Israeli enemy drone, aimed at a motorcycle" in the Sour district, resulted in nine injuries, including two children. "Three of the injured are in critical condition," it added.

Panic among schoolchildren

The attack took place near a school, triggering panic among students. Education Minister Rima Karami condemned the attack, announcing the school's closure to allow students to return home. She also contacted the school director, Mohammad Shoueikh, to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and staff. Karameh called on the United Nations and influential countries to "pressure Israel to cease its brutal attacks on safe and innocent people and to keep schools and educational institutions out of its attacks."

UNIFIL patrol in south Lebanon resumes after blockade amid local tensions

"As usual, the Zionist enemy [Israel] committed another madness by attacking Lebanon through a drone targeting a citizen near Mansouri School, causing panic, fear, and fainting among teachers and students," primary school teachers said in a statement. "A climate of terror prevailed in the institution, causing such chaos that the school administration had to arrange for the students to return to their families."

The teachers strongly condemned and denounced this "barbaric aggression," and urged "the international community to pressure the Zionist entity [Israel] to spare schools from the consequences of these attacks."

UNIFIL patrol blocked by southern Lebanese residents

Israel also conducted further strikes in southern Lebanon on Tuesday.

An Israeli drone dropped two bombs on fishermen in Ras al-Naqoura (Sour) without causing injuries, and another on Kfar Kila.

Israeli artillery fire targeted the outskirts of Kfar Shuba (Hasbaya), sparking fires. Additionally, a patrol from the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) was again stopped by residents in southern Lebanon, this time in Shaqra (Bint Jbeil), according to L'Orient Today's correspondent.

While such scenes typically force peacekeepers to turn back, intervention by the Lebanese Army allowed the patrol to continue its mission.

These attacks follow the Israeli army's announcement of killing a member of Hezbollah's elite pro-Iran unit, the Radwan Force, in a strike on southern Lebanon. Despite the cease-fire in effect since Nov. 27, the Israeli military continues to bomb Lebanon, claiming to target Hezbollah fighters and infrastructure, and maintains five positions in southern Lebanon. Lebanon frequently calls on the international community to pressure Israel to cease its attacks and withdraw from its territory.
