The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Sunday that "all public hospitals" in the northern part of the Palestinian territory were out of service after the Israeli army laid siege to the last functional public hospital in the area.

"The Israeli occupation has intensified its siege, with heavy gunfire around the Indonesian Hospital and its surroundings, preventing the arrival of patients, medical staff and medical supplies, which forced the hospital to close," the ministry said in a statement, adding that "all public hospitals in the Gaza governorate, in the north, are now out of service."
