Syrian Foreign Minister Assaad al-Shaibani said Tuesday that U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to lift sanctions against Syria constitutes a "decisive turning point" for his country.
Quoted by the official Syrian agency Sana, Shaibani welcomed the announcement made by Trump on Tuesday in Riyadh, noting that it comes as Syria moves "towards a future of stability, self-sufficiency, and true reconstruction after years of destructive war."
