President Joseph Aoun stated Tuesday before a delegation of the Lebanese-Saudi Business Council that "the return of investors, particularly those from the Gulf, primarily depends on restoring confidence in Lebanon," according to the presidency's X account.

"What encourages the return of investors, especially those from the Gulf, is the reestablishment of confidence in Lebanon, and that is what we are working on in cooperation with Parliament and the government," Aoun said. He also stated that "the reforms that have been approved, and those that will be, are the natural entry point for the return of this confidence," as Lebanon hopes to attract investments that could revive an economy in a severe socio-economic and financial crisis for more than five years.

Speaking the day after his visit to Kuwait, a part of his regional trips to rebuild trust with Gulf countries after a series of diplomatic crises, Joseph Aoun mentioned having perceived, during his meetings with regional leaders, "their affection for the Lebanese, their recognition for their contribution to the development of these countries, as well as their commitment to respecting laws and regulations, which reflects a brilliant image of Lebanon and the Lebanese in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries."
