The resumption of war in Gaza has "triggered a new hell" in the Palestinian territory where Israel is at war with the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas since its attack on Oct. 7, 2023, warned the director-general of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on Monday.
"Gaza is suffering and enduring deaths, injuries, multiple displacements, amputations, separations, disappearances, famines and a large-scale denial of aid and dignity, and just when the cease-fire ... led people to believe they had survived the worst, a new hell has triggered," said Pierre Krähenbühl during a security conference in Doha.
