On tour in North Lebanon, Nassereddine promises 'aid to government hospitals'

Lebanese Health Minister Rakan Nassereddine toured public hospitals in North Lebanon on Saturday, accompanied by the director of medical care at the ministry, Joseph Helou.

Nassereddine notably visited the Batroun Governmental Hospital, reports our correspondent. During his visit, the minister assured that he is working to 'revitalize government hospitals through financial support from the World Bank and the Islamic Bank.' He promised to provide equipment available within the ministry before the end of this year, as well as additional equipment that will also be supplied to these facilities.

The minister began his tour by inaugurating the Elias Georges Chami Center at the University of Balamand in Tripoli, in the presence of Defense Minister Michel Menassa, Greek Orthodox Patriarch John X, MPs Georges Atallah, Adib Abdel Massih, Sajih Attie, Dr. Elias Chami, and the president of Balamand, Elias Warrak. This center will be dedicated to medical training in advanced techniques.
