A "powerful explosion" occurred Saturday in Iran in a major commercial port in the south of the country, reported state television, without immediately reporting any casualties and adding that the cause of the disaster is unknown, and which reportedly injured at least 47 people according to a local media.
"A powerful explosion occurred at a quay of Shahid Rajaee port," located more than a thousand kilometers south of the capital Tehran, said a port administration official, Esmaeil Malekizadeh, on state television.
