Start of Iran–US talks in Rome, according to Iranian state television

Nuclear talks between Iran and the United States began Saturday around 09:30 a.m. GMT in Rome under Omani mediation, Iranian state television reported.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and U.S. envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, had launched discussions on Iran’s nuclear program last Saturday in Oman, a point of tension between Iran and Western countries.
