Following Jordan's announcement on Tuesday that it had arrested 16 individuals linked to the Muslim Brotherhood — some of whom were trained in Lebanon — and accused of planning attacks from Jordanian territory, Lebanon followed suit with the arrest of six Palestinians and Lebanese, allegedly affiliated with Hamas, considered the most powerful armed movement within the Muslim Brotherhood network.According to a security source, however, these arrests are "mostly" linked to the unclaimed attacks on Israel last month, when, in two cases about one week apart, three and then two rockets were fired from southern Lebanon toward Israel.
