A stabbing in Hermel caused the Lebanese Army to conduct raids Sunday night and arrested Syrian nationals accused of the crime, reports our correspondent in the Bekaa, Sarah Abdallah, and the state-run National News Agency (NNA).
The army intelligence raids took place simultaneously in three different locations, according to the NNA. One of the suspects, identified by his initials M.H., had hidden while attempting to return illegally to Syria. He was eventually apprehended in Mansoura and taken to a regional military barracks. According to information from our correspondent, two other youths were arrested during the raids.
These youths are under the age of fifteen and are suspected of assaulting and stabbing A.A., the owner of a second-hand clothing store in Mansoura. The victim was hospitalized and is in critical condition.
