From April 11 to 19, the association dedicated to the 7th art is organizing "South Screens," an event that aims to transcend boundaries.

"What is very sad is the impression that we can only exist through Western recognition," said Hania Mroueh, explaining the goal of the newest festival organized by the Metropolis association, South Screens. The founder and director of the Metropolis cinema, who created a platform for stories that cannot be told, a space for cultural resistance where the 7th art makes perfect sense, still believes in the power of the image. South Screens aims, as its name suggests, to present cinematographic works from southern countries. This space for exchange and sharing among cultures and identities breaks free from imposed codes and will be held from April 11 to 19.
