With the ongoing Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon and, more recently, in Beirut, the Lebanese people still feel that the war persists despite the cease-fire, albeit less intensely. One of the recurring questions is what purpose the cease-fire, agreed upon last Nov. 27, has served and what the monitoring mechanism has achieved so far.
