The Lebanese army, alongside Internal Security Forces (ISF) intelligence patrol, conducted searches on Tuesday in Syrian refugee camps in Anfeh and Chekka, north Lebanon. In search of individuals involved in security-related cases, reports our regional correspondent.
Several Syrians who had entered Lebanon illegally were arrested during this operation. These individuals, along with seized items, have been referred to the competent judicial authorities. This operation is part of the Lebanese Army's efforts to restore security in the north of the country, the troops indicate.
Additionally, army units set up a security perimeter in the locality of Dahr al-Ain, in the Koura district, after finding explosives and ammunition discarded in a field, according to our correspondent.
A military expert is expected to visit the site to examine these explosives.
