Defense Ministry nominations: Three decrees published, presidency announces

A series of decrees concerning three security appointments, approved by Cabinet during its meeting on March 27, were published Thursday, the Lebanese presidency announced on its X account.

These decrees, countersigned by President Joseph Aoun, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, Defense Minister Michel Menassa, and Finance Minister Yassine Jaber, concern the appointment of General Fadi Makhoul to the position of inspector general of the Ministry of Defense, General Mohammad al-Amine as director general of the administration of the ministry, and General Youssef Haddad as a member of the Military Council.

The three generals are also promoted to the rank of major general.
