The Israeli army called on Sunday for the inhabitants of a neighborhood in Rafah, in the southern Palestinian territory of the Gaza Strip, to evacuate the area where it says it has launched "an offensive."

In a message to the residents of the Tal al-Sultan neighborhood in Rafah, the Arabic spokesperson for the army, Avichay Adraee, indicated on his X account that the army "has launched an offensive to strike terrorist organizations" and urged the population to avoid moving around in this area "considered a dangerous combat zone."
