France on Saturday evening condemned the rocket fire launched from Lebanese territory toward Israel, while also calling on Israel to “show restraint following the resumption of its strikes in response to these attacks,” according to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“France calls on all parties to uphold the commitments made under the cease-fire agreement reached in November 2024, in order to avoid an escalation that could have serious consequences for the security of Lebanon, Israel and the entire region,” the statement added, emphasizing “the importance of not jeopardizing the significant progress made in recent months to ensure the safety of both Israelis and Lebanese on either side of the Blue Line.”
