The Israeli army announced Saturday that it was carrying out strikes on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, in response to the launch of three rockets from the region toward northern Israel.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant had earlier ordered the army to strike "dozens of terrorist targets" in Lebanon in retaliation for the rocket fire, which has not been claimed by any group.
According to our correspondent in the South, Muntasser Abdallah, a series of airstrikes targeted the Nabatieh region, the Rihan heights in the Jezzine district, and the border area, including Jibbein and Tayr Harfa (Tyre district).
