The first lady, Neemat Aoun, celebrated Mother's Day on Friday with all the mothers working at the office of the presidency, whether they are civilian or military workers.
During a ceremony honoring these working women, she praised "the efforts they put forth both at their workplace and in their homes." "I am happy to be among you celebrating Mother's Day because you are the mothers of the presidential palace and part of our family," said Aoun. "I am fully aware of the sacrifices you make juggling these roles as active women and mothers, and I commend this strength so characteristic of a mother's heart."
