Israel's army reported intercepting a projectile fired from Gaza on Thursday, while two others fell in uninhabited areas after air raid sirens sounded in Tel Aviv and central Israel. In a statement, the Israeli army said, "Following the sirens in the Gush Dan and HaShfela regions, three projectiles were identified crossing from southern Gaza into Israeli territory. The Israeli Air Force successfully intercepted one, while two others landed in an open area."
In response, the armed wing of Hamas, the Ezzedine Al-Qassam Brigades, claimed responsibility for firing rockets at Tel Aviv, Israel’s commercial hub. The group stated that the attack was retaliation for what it described as "massacres against civilians" in Gaza.
