Lebanon's ISF appoints new head of Information Division

BEIRUT — Director General of the Internal Security Forces (ISF) Raed Abdullah has appointed Brigadier General Mahmoud Qobrosli as head of the ISF's Information Division, local media outlets reported on Wednesday.
Qobrosli will replace Brig. Gen. Khaled Hammoud.
The appointment follows the Cabinet's military and security appointment last Thursday. The positions were brokered through a compromise between President Joseph Aoun and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri.
General Rodolph Haykal was appointed army chief, while General Raed Abdullah, a Sunni supported by Aoun, replaced General Imad Osman as head of the Internal Security Forces. General Hassan Choucair took over General Security, and General Edgard Lawandos was named director general of State Security.
