Curfew extended until Saturday morning in regions of Tartous and Latakia

Syrian authorities will extend the curfew until Saturday morning in the coastal region, a former stronghold of the Assad clan where security forces are conducting a large-scale operation, the official news agency reported Friday.

A senior security official in the province of Latakia stated that the curfew was extended until Saturday at 9 a.m. in the city of the same name, and until 10 a.m. in Tartous, as part of security operations targeting fighters loyal to the forces of ousted President Bashar al-Assad, according to the Sana agency.
