Lebanon’s academic sector is in turmoil, with some 6,000 students left in limbo as their degrees remain unvalidated by authorities due to university fraud. The Ministry of Education and Higher Education, which told L’Orient-Le Jour it is cracking down on corruption and strictly enforcing regulations, has shut down the faculties involved.
