The Internal Security Forces (ISF) announced on Sunday that, on Feb. 25, a patrol from the Mount Lebanon Investigation Division arrested several individuals in the Bourj Hammoud area as part of an ongoing effort to apprehend suspects wanted by the judiciary across Lebanon.

In a statement, the ISF said, “The arrested individuals include a Lebanese man, born in 2003, who was stopped while driving a Range Rover SUV with tinted windows. Authorities confiscated a war-grade pistol, a magazine, and nine rounds of ammunition from him. It was revealed that he was wanted under a non-executed arrest warrant for attempted robbery.”

Another Lebanese individual, born in 2004, who was with the first suspect, “was found to have an arrest warrant for firing a gun, as well as another non-executed arrest warrant for attempted robbery,” the ISF explained.

Additionally, a Lebanese man, born in 2001, “who was wanted for theft and gunfire-related offenses, was arrested while driving an unregistered Hyundai van,” the statement noted.

The ISF concluded, “The detainees and the seized items were transferred to the appropriate authorities for legal action, in line with judicial orders.”
