The Internal Security Forces announced in a statement that they have arrested "one of the most dangerous drug traffickers" in Lebanon, a 62-year-old individual.

The ISF claims to have carried out this arrest "thanks to intensive investigations and inquiries and after several months of surveillance and tracking." The arrest took place in Hawr Talla (Baalbeck district) on Feb. 21, following an ambush set up by a patrol attached to the regional narcotics office. The man was wanted for trafficking, theft, organized crime and "attempted murder of soldiers."
