During a speech at the White House on Jan. 21, the American president unveiled the Stargate project, a network of data centers specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) processing, relying on a staggering $500 billion investment spread over five years. The Abu Dhabi-based MGX fund, created in 2024 and focused on semiconductors, is one of the main backers alongside Japanese holding Softbank, and American tech giants OpenAI, the parent company of Chat GPT, and Oracle, a database manager.
