Saad Hariri receives several ambassadors at his residence

BEIRUT — Saad Hariri returned to Lebanon to mark the 20th anniversary of his father Rafik Hariri’s assassination and met with several foreign ambassadors at the Maison du Centre, his residence in Beirut.

Hariri, himself a former prime minister, held talks with French Ambassador Hervé Magro, alongside Hariri Foundation president and former MP Bahia Hariri, as well as advisors Ghattas Khoury and Hani Hammoud. The discussion focused on the political situation and Lebanese-French relations, according to a statement carried by the state-run National News Agency.

He also met with ambassadors Alexander Rudakov (Russia), José Santos (Spain), Fabrizio Marsili (Italy), Hilde Haraldstad (Norway), and the United Nations special coordinator for Lebanon, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert.

Meanwhile, Future Movement Secretary-General Ahmad Hariri held meetings in Beirut to finalize preparations for Friday’s commemoration.
