China expressed Wednesday its opposition to the "forced relocation" of Gaza's population, in response to a question regarding U.S. President Donald Trump's contested plan to empty the territory of its residents.
"Gaza belongs to the Palestinians and is an integral part of Palestinian territory," Guo Jiakun, a spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said during a regular press briefing. "We are opposed to the forced relocation of Gaza's residents," he emphasized.
