Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi called Tuesday for the reconstruction of Gaza "without displacing the Palestinians," after Donald Trump said he might suspend aid to Egypt and Jordan if those countries refuse to host the Gazans.
During a phone call with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, Sissi emphasized "the necessity to begin the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip (...) without displacing the Palestinians and in a manner that preserves their rights to live on their land," according to a statement from his office.
