Egyptian foreign minister travels to Washington for talks with American officials

The Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Badr Abdelatty, left Sunday for Washington where he is scheduled to meet with senior officials of the Trump administration and members of Congress, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cairo.

This visit aims to "strengthen bilateral relations and the strategic partnership between Egypt and the United States" as well as to hold "consultations on the regional situation," according to the statement.
