Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz on Thursday ordered the army to prepare a plan for the departure of Gazans who wish to leave, following statements by U.S. President Donald Trump about a potential relocation of Palestinians from this territory.
"I have ordered the Israeli army to prepare a plan that will allow any resident of Gaza who wishes, to leave for anywhere in the world that is willing to receive them," Katz said in a statement, specifying that the plan would include "exit options at land crossing points as well as special arrangements for departures by sea and air."
