Syrian interim President Ahmad al-Sharaa will visit Ankara on Tuesday for his second official overseas visit after Saudi Arabia, the Turkish presidency announced on Monday.
"The transitional President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ahmad al-Chareh, will make a visit to Ankara on Tuesday, Feb. 4, at the invitation of our president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan," said Fahrettin Altun, the director of communications for the Turkish presidency, on X.
This will be the second official trip of the new Syrian leader since coming to power after visiting Saudi Arabia last Sunday.
