Rescuers on Thursday retrieved the lifeless body of a man floating in the bed of the Abu Ali River in Tripoli, reported L'Orient Today's North Lebanon correspondent.
The body was identified as that of a Syrian citizen residing in the Tripoli neighborhood of Bab al-Tebbaneh, who had disappeared a week ago, according to local sources.
The body was transferred to one of Tripoli's hospitals under the supervision of security services, which opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the death, pending the forensic report to establish the cause.
