Loïc Nervi, a baker without borders on a mission in Lebanon
On the evening of Jan. 27, Nervi left his bakery in the south of France for 15 days to help the Lebanese. Until Feb. 9, he will be working as a volunteer with Mon Liban d’Azur, led by Géraldine Ghostine.

It’s the last batch of the day, and Loïc Nervi is busy in his bakery in Lorgues, his hometown in southern France. His thoughts, however, are 4,000 kilometers away in Lebanon, a country he has never visited but is about to discover. That evening, the 40-something baker will leave his family — his wife, his daughters, ages 7 and 9, his sisters — and his employees for a two-week humanitarian mission.
