The Israeli prison administration confirmed Saturday afternoon that it had released 200 Palestinian detainees in exchange for the release earlier in the day of four Israeli female soldiers held in Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023.
"With the approval of political authorities, all the terrorists were released from Ofer Prison [in the occupied West Bank] and Ktziot Prison," in southern Israel, the prison service said in a statement, confirming the number previously reported by Palestinian sources as part of the prisoner exchange.
