Lebanese soldier injured by mine in Bekaa

The Lebanese Army announced on the X platform that one of its soldiers was slightly injured on Sunday by the explosion of a mine near one of the posts occupied by Palestinian factions in the Bekaa, which it regained control of at the end of 2024. This takeover was carried out following the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime.

“On Jan. 19, 2025, an army soldier was slightly injured by the explosion of a mine near one of the posts that the army took over from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine - General Command (PFLP-GC) in the locality of Koussaya, in the Zahleh district. The injured soldier was transferred to the hospital for treatment and his condition is stable,” the army wrote.
