BEIRUT — Lebanon's new first Lady, Neemat Aoun, appointed Hala Obeid as the director of her office, spokesperson for the presidential palace Rafik Chelala told L'Orient Today.
According to local media reports, Hala Obeid the daughter of late politician Jean Obeid.
Known for her "outstanding leadership qualities" and for leading the “Dafa” campaign to support the needy, she is qualified to manage files "efficiently and with integrity," the reports add.
Joseph Aoun was elected president on Jan. 9 after more than two years of presidential vacuum.
